NEW PATIENTS WELCOME
If you are experiencing any respiratory symptoms (fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat etc), please call the Practice so that we can arrange the correct consult and treatment plan. You will require a covid swab prior to any face to face medical review.
Medicare Rebate and Fees
All phone and video consultations incur normal fees.
The Medicare rebates of today cover less than half of the cost of providing you with high quality medical care. The Medicare rebate was frozen between 2012 and 2017 and the increases since have not kept pace with inflation. The income from a consultation does not just cover the doctor’s pay but goes toward the running of the entire practice and includes reception and nurse wages, computer software and hardware, insurance, registrations, maintenance, cleaning and accreditation.
At Dulwich Family Practice we place a great emphasis on providing quality medical care. In order for us to continue to provide this care it is necessary to charge an out-of-pocket fee. This fee will vary based on the time and complexity of the consultation.
